(B.W. Davis) is how Bradford William Davis 1939-1997 was known to many of his friends and family. Brad, his wife Susan and 4 sons moved to Pavilion in 1966 where they purchased the farm. In 1971 their fifth and final son was born.
The year was 1979 when the Davis’ purchased a small piece of property on the corner of Route 63 & 19 and started Davis Farm Market. The first year started with vegetable and bedding plants, homegrown fresh fruits and vegetables soon after soft ice cream and eventually homemade pizza and subs came to the farm market.
In 1988 Mr. Davis started yet another business, Davis Trailer World at the Perry Road location, in 1991 Davis Trailer World moved to it’s present location at Rte 20 & 36 in the town of York.
In 1993 the Davis family decided to shut down the dairy farm and build a golf course, Davis Countryside Meadows. In the fall of 1995 nine holes were opened for play and in the fall of 1996 the second nine was ready for play. On Labor Day of 1997 Bradford William Davis passed away.
In the year 2000 we opened our restaurant and thought it to be very fitting that it be called BW’s in dedication to B.W. Davis for all the years of hard work that he had put into his farm and other business ventures and also for giving us the chance to build a golf course on the land where the family farm once was.
